City Tour - 3 August 2008 On Sunday 3rd. August approximately 35 members, wives and guests congregated at the Shrine of Remembrance for a very informative tour. After this we all broke for lunch and then the majority met at the State Library for another tour. A great day was had by all who attended and special thanks must go to Rt. Wor. Bro. John O’Reilly, PJGW who is a volunteer guide at the Shrine and took one of the groups on the tour of the Shrine.



Annual Luncheon at the Wantirna Club - June 2008 This year's Annual Luncheon at the Wantirna Club saw 45 members, wives and guests attend this enjoyable social event.



Visit to Werribee Park Open Range Zoo - 18 May 2008 Approximately 17 members and family visited the Werribee Park Open Range Zoo, and had an excellent day touring this magnificent facility. We took a bus tour followed by a picnic lunch, and then most broke into smaller gruops for various walking tours to see the animals up-close. A tantastic day was had by all attendees and, even though the weather was inclement when leaving home, it stayed fine for the duration of the visit.




Weekend away to Thornton - 12-13 April 2008 This weekend approximately 28 members, family and friends enjoyed a weekend away in Thornton (near Eildon). On Saturday, we visited the Eildon Hydro site, followed by Dinner at the Thornton Hotel. Recently the Lodge donated $700 to the Thornton Rural Fire Brigade with an additional $700 provided by the Grand Lodge Board of Benevolence to assist the Brigade in their appeal to buy an additional truck with a "slip on" pump unit. On Sunday morning at this weekend away the Thornton Fire Brigade put on a "thank you" breakfast for those visiting Thornton and a great time was held by all. After breakfast we went to the nearby Snob's Creek Fish Hatchery and then had a wine tasting at the Snob's Creek Vineyard.





Ladies in the South Cabaret Night - 7 December 2007 On the first Friday in December each year the Lodge holds it's annual "Ladies in the South" night. At the 2007 meeting we were entertained by the "John Davidson Revue" and the following photographs show the entertainment and some of the crowd of approximately 120 that attended.




Annual Luncheon at the Wantirna Club - June 2007 Each June the Lodge has a luncheon at the Wantirna Club which is well supported around 45 to 50 members, wives and guests attending each year.
